Testimonials

Here's what a few clients have had to say about Hiitman Personal Training.

"I trained with Neil for 12 weeks and enjoyed the variety of every session we did. He always pushed me that bit harder to get the most out of the exercise, but also knew when I’d hit my limit. He taught me to push myself harder than I ever thought I could and has given me a foundation to carry on building a fitter, healthier body (even at 65!!!). I learnt a lot about nutrition and broke bad eating habits which had been a big factor in my unhealthy lifestyle. With better diet and regular training I achieved my weight loss goal of  just over 2 stone!!" - Bernadette Quinn.

"I have been training with Neil twice a week for 4 months.  Not only is he an extremely kind, fun and dedicated trainer, he is also clearly very knowledgable, highly motivating and encouraging and very caring.  The results speak for themselves. Four months ago, I felt sluggish, lethargic and unfit and generally
uncomfortable in my skin.  I weighed 11 st. 9 lbs, which is nearly a stone more than I should be.  My clothes were mostly tight and I did not feel great about myself. Four months on, I weigh 10 st. 11 lbs and feel great.  I am fit and healthy, strong and full of energy.  My clothes fit and I feel positive and good about the way I look. I really enjoy my sessions with Neil.  He varies the exercises so no class is ever the same.  He always manages to eek out the last bit of effort proving to you that you can do a lot more than you think.  It has been very motivating to monitor the progress I have made as the exercises have become more difficult and the weights progressively heavier.  I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone wanting to make a positive and enduring lifestyle change." - Kati Pauk

"Neil has been my personal trainer for about 5 months. Due to an injury I had not been able to exercise for some time, but in preparation for my surgery, I felt the need to get a bit fitter. Neil has been great in providing exercises adjusted to my needs and possibilities before the operation and making sure that my arms are getting back to normal (equal) strength since the operation. I like that he really knows what he's talking about. Whenever I have a question, I get a well educated and/or scientific answer. As I don't like exercise, I'm very happy Neil lets me joke around and keeps it fun, while making sure I don't cheat my way out of the exercises. He seems to know exactly when I am done or when I'm just trying to take the easy way out. Even if I don't know myself. He really manages to keep the exercises fresh and even though he throws in something that should be called hell, he makes sure I (dare I say it?) enjoy exercising for once." - Chantal Hubens.

“Neil is a great trainer; and here’s why… on a personal level he looks to understand your lifestyle and accommodate sessions in and around your free time.  He looks at diet and gives sensible, useful and actionable pointers about making simple and effect changes.  When it comes to the PT sessions - make no mistake. He may have only three things with him but he’ll work you hard and every hour will be a stretching and challenging session. No two sessions are the same and even the simplest of exercise that you may have done before will have a new twist to make have you pushing yourself. What I like most about Neil is that he takes the time to treat you as an individual and not roll-out the same sessions to everyone, he’s always punctual and every time I meet him, he’s set-up and ready to go. He places serious and significant emphasis on form over function, it doesn’t matter how many reps you can do with how much weight if your form is poor, that will still be a bad exercise. Neil will concentrate your focus on getting your form right, which undoubtedly makes each exercise harder. You get out of it what you put it, if you’re serious about getting fit and staying healthy Neil will be the best person to have at your side.  I may not love every session I do with him, but I do love knowing I’ve completed it each time. One last tip, like a lot of trainers his counting for reps isn’t that good, if he can spoof you and get another five out of you he will, but that’s all psychology and if your weak of mind, your body’s got no chance. Train hard, play harder. Have Neil with you and you won’t go far wrong.” - Ross Broadbent.

"As a complete exercise novice I turned to Neil to get me fit for my 50th. Neil's sessions are energetic and tailored to me personally, (but pushing more than I thought I could!). Encouraging and Informative, (with diet and lifestyle tips). Get results and help change exercise lifestyle, (I now walk, run and do light weights in my own time as well). Thanks Neil" - Tracie Murchison.

"Neil is a very conscientious trainer. He pushes you to achieve your best but does know your limits and really cares about the progress of those he trains.  Highly recommended with a great sense of humour!" - Sue Leapman

"Neil provides everything I've been looking for to develop and maintain a fitness program that fits in with everything else life throws at me to do. Simple but very effective routines with minimal equipment means I can replicate the sessions at home or where ever I can find some space. Neil is very knowledgeable and clearly lives what he teaches! His sessions are always demanding but great fun. Neil is a very effective motivator! I have found help across all areas of my fitness from dietary and exercises to managing some aches and pains, I'm confident that if I have a training question Neil will know or find the answer. I would definitely recommend Neil to anyone looking for a personal trainer or a different way of training." - Matt Newton.

“I have been a yo-yo dieter for years and Neil has changed my attitude towards exercise and fat loss. I am seeing and feeling the results with his fun and challenging workouts. He pushes me when I need it and constantly strives to improve my technique and stamina, so I get the most out of our sessions. Neil is really passionate and committed to people feeling stronger, healthier and with his enthusiasm, knowledge and motivation I am really getting to fulfill my goals. He kicks my butt into gear and through diet, exercise and lifestyle changes I am reaping the rewards of more toned abs, thighs and visibly reduced bingo wings. He has also helped me to gain confidence and energy and through his expert advice and guidance helped me to recover after a knee injury. I now feel stronger than ever with a new zest for life.” - Bernadette Keane.

"Neil is a fantastic personal trainer to train with. He is passionate about what he does and is always correcting technique, adding new exercises to add variety and always pushes me that little bit extra to achieve greater results. I feel stronger and more toned up than I have ever felt and generally feel energised after his training sessions. Thank you Neil!" - Nutan Shah.

"Neil puts a lot of thought behind each training session to ensure that your whole body has been trained, paying particular attention to core strength whilst improving fitness and stamina. The sessions focus mainly around circuits, and so far no two sessions have been the same, by the end of which your body knows it has gone through a cardio and resistance workout. Having trained with him in groups as well as one to one, he seems just as comfortable training all age groups and body types always aiming to push people to their own productive limits but also being mindful of any injuries that may be present. He has given me advice about training outside of the sessions even taking the time to put together a routine that would encourage activity for maximum gains without spending all my time in the gym. He has also picked up on and explained in a simple manner the reasons for certain aches and pains and used exercises and stretches to alleviate the problem. Over a 12 week period I have been able to achieve over 12 kilograms of fat loss resulting in a better body shape, better posture and improved blood sugars. This has come from the training sessions and the encouragement to be more active everyday and also nutrition advice. Ultimately I know training and better health is my own responsibility, but by having Neil in my corner, I have a knowledgeable trainer who has been willing to match my commitment and given me all the support needed while proving to be excellent value for money." - Vik Juggessur.

"I’ve been training with Neil for about four months now and I can honestly say that as someone who can be a bit of a couch potato, I really look forward to our training sessions.  Neil is enthusiastic, knowledgeable and supportive and gives you help and encouragement without any of the bullying approach to exercise. He is fun, friendly and caring and will push you to do the best you can.  Since working with Neil I have seen my core strength and fitness improve and increase with every workout which really helps my motivation to keep going and work that bit harder.   If you are considering getting a personal trainer, I can highly recommend Neil." - Lucy Carter

"In the two years or so that I have been training with Neil, I don't think I've ever had the same workout.
Neil varies each and every session to keep it fresh and you motivated, and he will try to incorporate exercises you enjoy doing (for example, I like boxing and hate burpees!).
Speaking of motivation, Neil is super-positive and will come to you raring to get started with helping you achieve your goals. He takes a holistic approach to this, with the aim of finding out what prevents you from living your ideal lifestyle, making suggestions related to nutrition and other lifestyle factors, not just exercise.
He is extremely encouraging and believes you are capable of achieving - even if you yourself don't! - and I particularly like how he counts you down to the end of your workout. He doesn't rush through sessions (in fact, if he can get you to squeeze in another couple of reps of an exercise, he will), and always checks on your form to make sure that you are doing the exercise correctly and aren't in danger of injuring yourself.
Neil really cares about his role and is very organised and flexible. He is also personable and caring, and I have no hesitation in recommending him to others (in fact, I already have!).  - Alex Newman

Neil is a great personal trainer. He designs each workout to meet your needs and abilities and still manages to push you further without realising it. It was never the case of wanting to give up but more of wanting to do more! He makes each workout session fun and interesting so there is never time to feel bored with the exercises. I would highly recommend Neil as a PT to anyone and everyone. Very sad he left the UK to move home to Australia. Our loss is Australia's gain. A huge thank you Neil from my core (literally!!), its been hard...but fun!  -Ros Epstein

I worked with Neil for nine months in London before he returned home. I'd lost a bit of weight prior to working with him and really got the fitness bug. Neil is an awesome PT, every session is fully prepared and always varied. He has an uncanny way of knowing exactly what your physical and mental limits are and his workout is always fun but complete all body workout. _ David Carnac
